Office holiday party ideas for the Sacramento region

Most office holiday parties take one of two shapes, a seated dinner or a standing cocktail hour. Pick the shape first; the rental list follows from it.

Seated dinner: one good table, repeated

A seated dinner is the format where the table does the work. Choose one place setting and repeat it down every table: a charger, a dinner plate, a salad plate, the flatware your menu needs, a water goblet and a wine glass, and a napkin.

Our six Christmas bundles are ready-made versions of that setting. The Winter Social, for example, pairs Crystal Moss Dinner Plates with Revolution glassware, Regal flatware and a burgundy velvet napkin.

Cocktail hour: surfaces and glassware

A standing party needs far fewer place settings and far more surfaces. A few dressed cocktail tables give guests somewhere to set a drink down, and a run of coupes such as the Melodia Coupe handles a toast.

Plan glassware above headcount for a standing party. Without a seat to come back to, guests put a glass down and pick up a fresh one.

Let the silver be the centerpiece

The Silver Collection holds more than 100 pieces of assorted silver, including trays, bowls and champagne buckets. A Large Round Display Tray on a buffet or a Large Champagne Bucket by the bar reads as a holiday party without any themed decor.

What a company order costs to get there

Corporate, nonprofit and office events get 20% off the first order and 10% off every order after that. Delivery is quoted at $2.50 a mile for the full round trips, delivery and pickup together, so the cost depends on distance rather than on how many pieces you rent.

There is no minimum order, and setup is offered with delivery on furniture items such as tables and chairs, including the linens on them. More on how that works is on the corporate events page.

What to send us

Send the date, the headcount, the venue and whether guests will be seated or standing. If your venue has loading-dock hours or asks vendors for proof of insurance, mention it; we can provide proof of insurance for your venue. Start your list and we will confirm availability and quote it. For the counts, see how much to rent per guest; for the order of things, the holiday party timeline.
